Te mapa
Caldes de Montbui lies in the Vallès Oriental, north of Barcelona, and takes its name from its hot springs. The town has used its thermal water since Roman times, and the remains of the Roman baths still stand in the centre. Nearby, the Font del Lleó pours out spring water at a temperature close to seventy degrees Celsius.
The map shows a clear division between old and new. The historic centre forms a compact knot of narrow streets around the springs and the church, following the curve of an old defensive line. Newer neighbourhoods spread across the valley in a looser pattern, and roads leave toward Barcelona and the hills of the Montseny foothills.
A Caldes de Montbui map poster shows a town that grew around a natural resource used for two thousand years. In black and white, the density of the historic core contrasts with the more open outer districts. It suits residents, visitors who came for the spa hotels, and anyone with family connections to the area.

This public fountain releases hot spring water at about seventy degrees Celsius and is the symbolic heart of the town.
Narrow, curving streets around the springs and church form a dense historic centre, clearly different from the newer districts.
