Te mapa
Caloundra sits at the southern end of Queensland's Sunshine Coast, on a headland where the open Pacific meets the Pumicestone Passage. On the map, the town is framed by water on two sides: a string of surf beaches facing east, and the sheltered passage separating it from the northern tip of Bribie Island.
The older centre gathers around the headland, with streets running down to Kings Beach, Bulcock Beach and the smaller coves nearby. Inland, newer suburbs and canal estates spread across the coastal plain, with curving streets and artificial waterways that stand out clearly on a minimal print.
A Caloundra map poster captures a town shaped by its coastline. From the headland, the Glass House Mountains are visible on the western horizon, and the long line of beaches stretching north toward Maroochydore gives the map its rhythm. It is an image of sand, water and suburban curves.
The sheltered channel runs south between Caloundra and Bribie Island, a narrow, winding strip of water that forms the town's calm southern edge.
Kings Beach, Bulcock Beach and the smaller coves wrap around the headland, a scalloped coastline that gives the map its most distinctive outline.
Newer residential areas include artificial waterways and curving streets, a fine, looping pattern that contrasts with the more regular grid of the older town.
