Te mapa
Candelaria lies in the province of Quezon, south-east of Manila, in the Calabarzon region of Luzon. From above, the town centre gathers around its plaza and church. The main highway passes through and pulls development along its length, and the built area thins quickly into farmland, where coconut groves dominate the landscape.
The town is closely associated with the coconut industry. Processing plants, including desiccated coconut producers, have long been part of its economy, alongside agriculture and trade with neighbouring towns. It is a municipality of several dozen barangays, most of them rural, so the map shows a compact centre within a much larger working countryside.
A Candelaria map poster traces this pattern clearly. A dense poblacion sits in the middle, a strong linear spine runs along the highway, and a web of smaller roads spreads out to the barangays. Printed in black and white, it has the calm, rural geometry of a provincial Philippine town.
The town centre is organised around a plaza and parish church, in the classic Spanish-era layout of Philippine towns. It forms the tightest cluster of streets on the map.
The national highway runs through Candelaria and carries shops and houses along its sides. On the poster it is the clearest single line, linking the town to Lucena and Manila.
Smaller roads branch into the surrounding countryside and connect scattered barangays. This fine, spreading network fills the poster's edges with a light, rural texture.
