Te mapa
Cansanção is a municipality in the interior of Bahia, in northeastern Brazil, in the semi-arid region known as the sertão. The landscape here is dry for much of the year, with caatinga vegetation, scattered farms and small communities linked by rural roads. The town itself is the centre of a large municipal area and serves the surrounding countryside.
From above, the urban area is compact, with a central core of streets around the main square and church and residential blocks that extend outward in a loose grid. Beyond the edges, the pattern changes abruptly: roads and tracks run long distances across open land toward farms and villages. The contrast between the dense town and the vast countryside defines the map.
A Cansanção map poster shows this relationship clearly. The streets of the town form a small, well-defined cluster in the middle of wide, quiet space, crossed by lines of road. The minimal style suits the sertão, where the openness of the land is as much a part of the place as the town itself.
The town gathers around its main square and church, with streets extending outward in a simple grid. It is the densest point of the poster.
Around the town, the dry country stretches in every direction. On the map, it appears as wide, open space that gives the town its strong visual presence.
Long roads and tracks leave the town toward farms and neighbouring communities. They cross the empty land in thin lines, adding movement to the composition.
