Te mapa
Capalaba sits in Redland City on the eastern side of the Brisbane metropolitan area, in southeast Queensland. From above it looks like a classic Australian suburb built around a commercial core: major roads meet near the centre, and from there residential streets loop and branch into crescents and cul-de-sacs, broken up by pockets of remnant bushland and parks.
Tingalpa Creek runs along the western side of the suburb, its winding course and green banks giving the map a soft natural edge. Upstream, the Leslie Harrison Dam holds back a reservoir that appears as a broad irregular shape on the map. The contrast between curving creeks and the straight arterial roads is what makes the area interesting to draw.
A Capalaba map poster records this layout in clean black and white: the busy junctions at the centre, the dense loops of housing and the creek winding along the edge. It is a good choice for anyone who grew up in the Redlands or bought a first home there.

A reservoir on Tingalpa Creek appears as a large irregular body of water to the south, one of the most striking shapes on the map.
Residential streets form crescents and cul-de-sacs around the central roads, creating a looping, branching pattern typical of Queensland suburbs.
