Chemor is a town in Perak, Malaysia, a short distance north of Ipoh in the Kinta Valley. The valley was once one of the world's major tin-mining districts. The landscape around towns like Chemor still carries that history in its ponds, reclaimed land and scattered settlements, though today the area is mostly residential and agricultural.
From above, the town is a compact centre along the main road north from Ipoh, with rows of shophouses and small housing estates around it.
