Chishmy Map Poster & Print
Chishmy is a settlement in Bashkortostan, the administrative centre of Chishminsky District, lying west of Ufa. Its map is organised around the railway. The tracks run through the settlement, and the streets extend on either side in mostly straight lines of low houses and gardens, with larger buildings grouped near the station and the centre.
The name is usually linked to the Bashkir and Tatar word for springs. The district is also known for the mausoleum of Hussein-Bek, a medieval tomb near Chishmy that is one of the oldest surviving monuments in Bashkortostan and an important place of pilgrimage.
