Te mapa
Ciudad Fernández lies in the Zona Media of San Luis Potosí, in the fertile valley of Rioverde. It sits right beside the city of Rioverde, and the two form a single urban area. From above, the boundary between them is hard to see, as street grids from both towns meet and merge across the valley floor.
The town's layout follows the classic Mexican pattern of regular blocks around a main plaza and parish church, with streets extending outwards in a steady grid. Irrigation channels and fields surround the built-up area, and the green valley stands out against the drier mountains of the region. Roads link the town to the state capital and to the Huasteca.
The Rioverde valley is known for its springs and water, above all the Laguna de la Media Luna, a clear spring-fed lagoon popular with swimmers and divers not far from the towns. A Ciudad Fernández map poster shows the settlement on the valley floor: a tidy grid where the town meets its neighbour and farmland opens up.

The main square and parish church sit at the heart of a regular grid of blocks that extends evenly in every direction.
Fields and irrigation channels surround the town, creating fine lines and open space around the dense grid of streets.
