Converging roads
Main routes come together at the town centre from several directions. They give the map a star-like shape that is easy to recognise even at small print sizes.

Te mapa
Comé lies in southern Benin, not far inland from the Atlantic coast, in the low country between Cotonou and the border with Togo. From above, it looks like a crossroads town. Several roads meet at a dense central grid, and the streets then loosen into residential quarters, gardens and farmland before disappearing among fields and oil palms.
The wider region is shaped by water. Lagoons and lakes lie between the coast and the interior, and there are wetlands around the town's broader surroundings. Within Comé itself the map is mostly about roads: a market core, main routes leading out in different directions, and a web of smaller lanes filling the spaces between them.
A Comé map poster suits people who know the town well, from market days, family compounds or school years. Its layout is modest and clear. In a black-and-white print the central blocks become a small, dark cluster, and the roads leading away make it clear how the town connects to the rest of southern Benin.
Main routes come together at the town centre from several directions. They give the map a star-like shape that is easy to recognise even at small print sizes.
The densest blocks sit at the heart of town, where trade and daily life concentrate. They appear as the darkest area on the poster.
At the edges, streets fade into cultivated land and palm groves. The built-up area gradually gives way to open space instead of ending at a hard line.
