Te mapa
Cooper City is a suburban city in Broward County, Florida, west of Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale. It was founded in the late 1950s and named after its developer, Morris Cooper, and it still uses the motto Someplace Special. On a map it reads as a quiet, low-density community of neighbourhoods set between major arterial roads.
The area once belonged to the wet margins of the Everglades, and the map shows how that land was shaped for building: straight canals run beside the main roads, and man-made lakes appear inside many subdivisions. Within each neighbourhood, streets curve and end in cul-de-sacs, while the larger roads form a firm, square grid around them.
A Cooper City map poster is a natural piece for families who have lived here, since the shape of a single subdivision is easy to recognise from above. The contrast between the rigid grid of arterials and the loops of residential streets inside them gives the print both structure and fine detail.
Major roads run north to south and east to west at roughly one-mile intervals, forming a large square frame that organises the whole city on the map.
Drainage canals trace straight lines along the roads, while lakes sit inside the subdivisions, giving the print its distinctive water shapes.
Inside each square of the grid, residential streets curve, loop and end in cul-de-sacs, producing the intricate patterns characteristic of South Florida suburbs.
