Te mapa
Curumaní lies in the south-central part of Colombia's Cesar Department, in the broad lowlands between the Magdalena basin and the mountains to the east. From above, the town reads as a tidy cluster of blocks. A main road runs through it, carrying traffic between the Caribbean coast and the interior, and the surrounding land is mostly open.
Like many towns in this part of Cesar, Curumaní lives largely on agriculture and cattle raising. The land around the urban area is divided into fields and pasture, crossed by streams and farm tracks. The streets themselves follow a fairly regular pattern, and it gets looser toward the edges, where houses give way to open ground.
A Curumaní map poster brings out that simple, legible form. The highway sets the axis, the grid fills the space on either side, and the waterways and rural roads fade out toward the margins. It is a modest map, and in monochrome that restraint looks deliberate and calm.
The main road through town is the strongest line on the map. Most of Curumaní's streets are arranged in relation to it, so the whole place has a clear direction.
The centre is laid out in a mostly orderly grid of short blocks. At poster scale it prints as an even, fine texture.
Beyond the built-up area the map thins into streams, tracks and wide farmland. That gives the town a clean outline against a light background.
