Te mapa
Cutler Ridge lies in southern Miami-Dade County, Florida, on a low limestone rise slightly above the surrounding land. Much of the area is now part of the town of Cutler Bay, which was incorporated in 2005. From above it reads as a classic South Florida suburb: curving residential streets, loops and cul-de-sacs within a larger grid of straight section-line roads.
US 1 and the Florida Turnpike run through the area, one on a long diagonal and one north–south. They frame the neighbourhoods and link them to Miami in the north and the Keys in the south. To the east the land drops toward Biscayne Bay, where the streets give way to mangroves, canals and open water.
Cutler Ridge was among the communities hit hardest by Hurricane Andrew in 1992, and much of it was rebuilt in the years that followed. A Cutler Ridge map poster shows the result: a carefully arranged suburb between highways and coast, with the long straight roads of South Florida framing its gently curving streets.
US 1 and the Florida Turnpike pass through as long straight lines, one on a diagonal. Together they set the edges of the neighbourhoods between them.
Inside the grid of main roads, residential streets bend into loops and cul-de-sacs, giving the map a soft, flowing texture typical of South Florida.
To the east the street pattern thins into canals, mangrove fringe and open water. This quiet edge balances the dense suburb inland.

Koteā ko Cutler Ridge
Cutler Ridge means something particular to people who lived there before and after Hurricane Andrew, and to families who settled in the rebuilt neighbourhoods. Its map is a personal record of a place that was badly damaged and then rebuilt.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a street name or the year you moved in, and choose from five styles, including Noir and Sand. The $9 download includes six sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
