Te mapa
Danville sits in the San Ramon Valley in Contra Costa County, east of the hills that separate it from Oakland and the bay. On the map, the valley runs north to south, and Interstate 680 follows it. Curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs climb the slopes on both sides. Mount Diablo rises to the east and leaves a large empty area on the sheet.
The small downtown grew up around the old railway. The line has since been converted into the Iron Horse Regional Trail, which runs the length of the valley. On the hills above town is Tao House, the home where playwright Eugene O'Neill wrote some of his best-known work. It is now a national historic site.
A Danville map poster shows the difference between the compact older centre and the looping streets of the newer neighbourhoods around it. The straight line of the interstate and the trail provides a steady backbone. The slopes of Mount Diablo give the eastern side of the map a wide, open frame.
The former railway line runs through the valley as a straight regional trail, passing close to the old downtown.
The foothills of Mount Diablo rise east of town. Winding roads climb into them, and there are large open areas with no streets at all.
Curving streets and cul-de-sacs fill the valley sides and form looping patterns on each side of the I-680 corridor.

Koteā ko Danville
Danville is hung by people who grew up in the San Ramon Valley, by families who have just bought a home there and by anyone who rides the trail or hikes Mount Diablo. The valley setting makes a well-framed poster.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a street, a family name or a moving-in date. The poster is available in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
