Delbrück is a town in the Paderborn district of North Rhine-Westphalia, at the heart of the area known as the Delbrücker Land. The landscape is flat and low-lying, and the map reflects it immediately: a modest town centre with a church at its core, surrounded by a wide expanse of fields, meadows and farmsteads stretching in every direction.
The area is known for its dispersed settlement pattern. Instead of tightly clustered villages, farms and houses are spread across the countryside along long, straight roads, and several villages belonging to the municipality lie apart from the main town.
