Dúbravka is one of the boroughs of Bratislava, in the city's northwest. From above it has two clear parts. The small old village core survives in a few short, irregular streets, and around it lies a large housing estate of panel blocks built in the socialist era, arranged in long rows and courtyards.
To the west the buildings stop at the forest. The wooded hill of Devínska Kobyla, part of the Little Carpathians foothills and a protected nature area, rises right next to the borough. On the map a solid mass of greenery meets the regular geometry of the estates.
