Te mapa
Eagle sits northwest of Boise in the Treasure Valley, where the Boise River splits into several channels on its way west. From above, the river and its islands form the southern edge of the city, with a small original downtown near the crossing of two state highways and newer neighbourhoods spreading in every direction.
Eagle Island State Park lies between river channels just west of the city, and greenbelt paths follow the water. North of town the land rises into dry foothills, where the street network thins into ridges and gullies. The city has grown quickly in recent decades as part of the wider Boise metropolitan area.
An Eagle map poster shows the contrast well: a straight section-line grid of arterial roads inherited from farmland, filled in with curving cul-de-sacs, ponds and golf courses, all bordered by the loose, branching pattern of the river. It is a very readable plan of a modern western suburb.
The river divides into multiple channels around wooded islands, creating a soft, tangled band across the south of the map.
Main roads follow the old one-mile survey grid, framing large blocks filled with curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs.
Toward the north the streets give way to open hills, where roads follow ridgelines and the map becomes sparse and angular.

Koteā ko Eagle
For people who have built a home in one of Eagle's newer neighbourhoods, or who walk the river greenbelt every week, the map is a clear picture of daily life in the Treasure Valley.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a move-in date, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir makes the river channels particularly striking.
