Te mapa
Eagle River is part of the Municipality of Anchorage, northeast of the city centre along the Glenn Highway. It takes its name from the river that runs out of the Chugach Mountains through a broad glacial valley. The terrain dominates the map: the valley floor, the benches above it and mountains closing in to the east.
The town grew mainly as a residential community. Its streets form curving loops and cul-de-sacs that follow the slopes, while the Glenn Highway runs through as a straight, heavy line. Further up the valley, the Eagle River Nature Center gives access to trails in Chugach State Park, one of the largest state parks in the United States.
An Eagle River map poster sets suburban detail against a wild setting. Tight residential curves sit near the highway, the river winds through, and the street network stops abruptly where the mountains begin. That edge between town and wilderness makes this a strong print, and one that feels distinctly Alaskan.

The highway runs straight through, linking Eagle River with Anchorage and the Mat-Su valley. It is the heaviest line on the poster.
Residential streets curve along benches and slopes in loops and cul-de-sacs. They give the map a soft, contour-like texture.

Koteā ko Eagle River
Eagle River is home to many military families from nearby Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and to Alaskans who want mountains outside the window. A map records a posting, a first house or a long stretch of life up north.
