Edremit Map Poster & Print

Edremit sits slightly inland from the northern Aegean coast of Turkey, on the plain that opens onto the Gulf of Edremit. From above, the town is a compact cluster of streets surrounded by farmland and olive groves, with roads running out toward the coastal resorts and up toward the mountains.

The region is known for its olive oil, and the Kaz Mountains, the ancient Mount Ida, rise to the north. The gulf coast nearby has long been popular with Turkish holidaymakers, and the mix of mountain air and sea breeze is part of the area's reputation.

A Edremit map poster shows the relationship between town, coast and hills. The centre has an irregular, older street pattern, while newer neighbourhoods spread in looser blocks. Beyond them, the roads to the shore form long lines across the plain, leading the eye to the curving edge of the gulf.

Gulf coast

The Gulf of Edremit curves along the western and southern edge of the district, a long, smooth coastline that anchors the composition.

02

Olive plain

Open farmland and olive groves separate the town from the sea, leaving wide quiet areas on the map crossed only by a few main roads.

03

Mountain backdrop

The foothills of the Kaz Mountains begin north of the town, where the street network thins and roads start to follow valleys and slopes.
