Te mapa
El Idrissia is a town in Djelfa province, on the high plateaus of central Algeria, where wide steppe separates the Tell Atlas from the Saharan Atlas. The land around it is open and elevated, used for grazing and dryland farming, and the town appears on a map as a compact, clearly bounded settlement with little sprawl beyond its edges.
Inside that boundary, the street plan is largely regular, with rectangular blocks, a few main roads crossing the centre and newer housing extending in planned rows. Mosques, schools and markets create larger footprints among the houses. Because the setting is so open, the shift from built area to steppe is abrupt, which gives the plan a crisp outline.
The wider Djelfa region is known for its pastoral traditions and for the alfa grass that once covered much of the steppe. An El Idrissia map poster keeps the focus on the town itself, a small grid of streets in a wide landscape, drawn with the clarity that sparse settings allow.
Streets stop sharply where the steppe begins, giving the settlement a crisp outline that stands out strongly against the open ground around it.
Much of the town follows a straightforward grid of rectangular blocks, with main roads dividing it into neighbourhoods of similar size and orientation.
Long, straight routes lead out of town over the high plains toward neighbouring settlements, drawn as thin lines running to the edges of the print.
