Te mapa
Encheng is the main town of Enping, a county-level city under Jiangmen in the southwest of the Pearl River Delta region. On a map it is a compact urban area on low ground, with a river and smaller channels running through it and hills pressing in from the countryside around it. Older, denser streets sit close to the water, while newer districts are laid out in larger blocks farther out.
Like much of the Jiangmen area, Enping has long ties to emigration, and many families overseas trace their origins to villages in this part of Guangdong. The county is also known across the region for its hot springs, which lie in the hilly land outside the town. Expressways and ring roads now link Encheng to the wider delta.
An Encheng map poster shows a town changing from a market centre into a modern city: the irregular older core, the straighter avenues of recent growth, and the fields and ridges that still surround it. In fine lines, the contrast between the built-up valley and the wooded slopes gives the composition a clear natural frame.
The tightest cluster of streets sits near the river that runs through town, where the settlement first grew, and it forms the densest part of the map.
Around the older centre, wider roads and larger blocks mark the areas built in recent decades. The texture visibly shifts from fine to coarse as you move outward.
Wooded high ground surrounds the town, so the edges of the map fade from city blocks into winding rural roads and small paths through the countryside.

Koteā ko Encheng
Many people carry Encheng with them from far away, through family histories that reach across several continents. A map of the town gives that connection a physical form. It is quieter than a photograph and easy to live with on a wall for years.
You can personalise the title and subtitle with a family name or an ancestral village and adjust the coordinates line. There are five styles, from Classic black & white to Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries, so the map can reach relatives wherever they live.
