Evington Map Poster & Print
Evington is a suburb on the eastern side of Leicester in England. It began as a separate village and was gradually absorbed as the city grew outward during the twentieth century. On the map you can still read that story: a small older core surrounded by curving estates of semi-detached houses.
The medieval church of St Denys marks the old village. Evington Park, a large green space with the Evington Brook nearby, breaks up the housing with open ground and trees. Further east, the streets thin out toward the countryside at the city's edge.
