G‘azalkent is a town in the Bostanliq district of the Tashkent Region, on the edge of the Chirchiq river valley. It sits where the plains around Tashkent begin to give way to the foothills of the Western Tien Shan, and on a map the town's streets spread across gently rising ground, with the river and its channels on one side.
The road through G‘azalkent leads further up the valley towards the Charvak Reservoir and the Chatkal mountains, a popular area for weekends away from the capital. Around the town, orchards, gardens and irrigated fields fill the valley floor, fed by canals drawn from the Chirchiq.
