Te mapa
Gazaoua lies in the Maradi Region of southern Niger, close to the border with Nigeria, in the Sahel belt where farmland stretches in every direction. From above, the town is a compact grouping of streets and compounds, with the built area dense at the centre and thinning out toward the edges where fields begin.
The surrounding land is used for rain-fed farming, and the map shows a network of tracks linking the town to villages scattered across the plain. Roads run toward neighbouring towns and across the border region, reflecting the importance of trade and markets in this part of Niger. The landscape is flat and open, so the town reads clearly against it.
A Gazaoua map poster is a quiet record of a place that rarely appears on printed maps. It shows the town's layout and its place within the farming country of Maradi, and in any of the five styles it becomes a simple, graphic image, the compact centre set against the wide space of the Sahel.
Streets and compounds gather closely at the heart of Gazaoua, forming a dense cluster that stands out clearly against the flat surrounding land.
Tracks spread out from the town into the fields and villages around it, drawing a fine network across the open Sahel plain.
Roads connect Gazaoua with neighbouring towns in Maradi and toward Nigeria, forming the main lines of movement across the map.
