Te mapa
Gerlingen sits just west of Stuttgart, in hilly Swabian country where the city's suburbs meet the woods of the Glemswald. The town lies on a slope, and its streets follow the contours, curving around the hillside instead of running straight. On the map the older centre forms a compact core, with newer residential areas climbing uphill.
On the Schillerhöhe above the town stands the headquarters of Robert Bosch GmbH, a campus of large buildings among trees that stands out clearly on the print. Orchards and meadows still break up parts of the slope between residential blocks, and forest lines the upper edge of town, giving the map a clear boundary.
Although Gerlingen is close to Stuttgart, it keeps a distinct sense of separation, with hills and woodland marking the edge. A Gerlingen map poster captures that balance: suburban streets on a hillside, woodland above, and the wider basin of the region falling away below.
Residential streets curve along the slope, following the lie of the land. They give the map flowing lines instead of a rigid grid.
The headquarters of Robert Bosch sits on the heights above town. Its large buildings among trees form a distinctive, spacious shape on the map.
Woodland borders the upper parts of Gerlingen and gives the town a clear outline where the streets end and the Glemswald begins.
