Te mapa
Gribanovskiy is an urban-type settlement in the east of Voronezh Oblast, in the flat black-earth country of southern Russia. From above, the settlement is organised around the railway: tracks cross the plan, and the streets run parallel and perpendicular to them in a mostly regular pattern. Beyond the houses and gardens, large rectangular fields extend in every direction.
The settlement serves as the centre of its district, with a station, local industry and the services the surrounding villages rely on. Houses are mostly low with long garden plots, which gives the map a distinctive striped texture. Shelter belts of trees between the fields add fine straight lines across the surrounding countryside.
A Gribanovskiy map poster turns this steppe pattern into a clear composition: the railway through the middle, the orderly residential streets and the geometric fields beyond. In black and white, the long lines of track and road become the main theme. It is a calm, detailed picture of a Russian country settlement.
The tracks run straight through the settlement and set the direction of the main streets. On the poster they form the backbone of the whole composition.
Long, narrow private plots stretch behind the houses on most streets. From above, they create a finely striped texture across the residential area.
Large rectangular fields surround the settlement, divided by tree belts and farm tracks. They frame the town in a quiet geometric pattern.
