Te mapa
Hahausen is a small village in the district of Goslar, Lower Saxony, lying between the plains to the north and the first real rise of the Harz. Its territory covers only about ten square kilometres, and on a map it appears as a tight settlement with a handful of streets, surrounded by farmland that gives way to forest where the ground begins to climb.
Like its neighbours Lutter am Barenberge and Wallmoden, Hahausen became part of the town of Langelsheim in 2021, when the local joint municipality was dissolved. That administrative change has not altered its shape. The village remains a distinct cluster, separated from other settlements by open land, with roads leaving it in a few clear directions.
Places of this size rarely appear on printed maps in any detail, which is part of the appeal. A Hahausen map poster enlarges the familiar: the curve of a main street, the side lanes branching off it, the small blocks of houses and gardens, and the tracks that lead out into the fields and woods around the village.
The built-up area is compact, with a main road and a few branching lanes forming a small network that reads clearly even at the largest print sizes.
Wooded higher ground lies on the Harz side of the village, so the map shows a visible transition from cleared farmland to the denser texture of forest.
Fields surround the settlement on most sides, and their boundaries and access tracks form a quiet background pattern that keeps the focus on the village itself.
