Te mapa
Hassan sits on the southern Deccan plateau at the edge of the Malnad hill country, and its map reflects that transitional terrain. Roads leave the centre in several directions rather than following a strict grid, curving around low rises and the irrigation tanks that dot this part of Karnataka. Those tanks appear as irregular pools of open space, softening a town that has grown steadily outward into farmland and plantation country.
The town takes its name from the goddess Hasanamba, whose temple is famous for opening to devotees only once a year. Hassan is also the usual base for visiting the Hoysala temples at Belur and Halebidu, both a short drive away and known for extraordinarily detailed stone carving. On the outskirts is ISRO's Master Control Facility, which tracks and controls Indian satellites.
A Hassan map poster shows a regional centre shaped by roads rather than rivers. The radiating highways, the scattered tanks and the looser residential layouts at the edges create an organic composition, dense at the middle and opening out into the countryside. It suits anyone who knows the town as a starting point for temple journeys, coffee estates or simply home.
Main roads leave Hassan toward Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Mysuru and the temple towns, forming a star-like pattern that gives the map its overall structure.
Traditional tanks appear as quiet, irregular shapes within and around the town, breaking up the street pattern and adding soft open areas to the print.
Newer layouts at the edge of town use more regular blocks, contrasting with the older, tighter streets near the centre and showing how Hassan has expanded.

Koteā ko Hassan
Hassan is often remembered as the calm town between Bengaluru and the coast, or the place where a trip to Belur and Halebidu began. A map poster keeps that memory in simple, graphic form that fits a study, hallway or living room.
Add a personal title, a subtitle such as a year, and your coordinates. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital files cost $9 and come in six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF, or order a printed poster.
