Te mapa
Mysuru lies on the southern Deccan plateau, and its map is shaped by royal planning. Broad avenues and circles radiate from the palace at the centre, and large open spaces, lakes and parks give the city a spacious feel. To the southeast, Chamundi Hill rises sharply from the plain, crowned by a temple and reached by a long flight of steps.
The Mysore Palace, seat of the Wadiyar rulers, is the city's focal point and is lit up during the Dasara festival, celebrated here on a grand scale. Kukkarahalli and Karanji lakes form broad open areas, and the city is known for silk and sandalwood. The planned layout is one of the most orderly among India's older cities.
A Mysuru map poster shows a city built around a clear centre, with avenues reaching outward and lakes breaking up the pattern. Chamundi Hill forms a natural anchor at the edge. It is a composed, graceful map, reflecting the city's heritage as a planned royal capital.
The palace grounds form a large walled rectangle at the heart of the city, with roads and circles radiating outward in several directions.
A hill rising southeast of the city, its winding road and long stairway leading to a temple at the top, forming a green, contoured mass on the map.
Kukkarahalli and Karanji lakes create large open shapes within the city, surrounded by parks and walking paths that break the pattern of streets.

Koteā ko Mysuru
Mysuru is chosen by those who grew up among its avenues, studied there or visited during Dasara. The palace, hill and lakes make a composed, recognisable map with a sense of occasion.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates with a family name or a festival year. Pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters use matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
