Te mapa
Hoste Island lies in Chile's portion of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, south of the Beagle Channel and west of Navarino Island. Its outline is one of the most fragmented of any large island. Deep sounds and fjords cut in from every side, dividing it into long peninsulas that look almost like separate islands on a map.
The Murray Channel separates Hoste from Navarino, and the Hardy Peninsula extends south, ending at False Cape Horn. The name comes from a headland mistaken by some sailors for the real Cape Horn, which lies on a smaller island further southeast. Hoste itself is largely uninhabited, with mountains, glaciers, bogs and forest.
The island was named after the British naval officer William Hoste during the survey voyages of the early nineteenth century. A Hoste Island map poster renders the whole labyrinth, fjords, peninsulas and channels, as a single intricate line, among the most complex coastlines in South America.

The narrow waterway between Hoste and Navarino islands. It links the Beagle Channel to the waters further south.
Deep inlets divide the island into many peninsulas, creating an outline that is dense, branching and rewarding to study up close.

Koteā ko Hoste Island
Hoste suits sailors, travellers to Patagonia and anyone drawn to the world's southernmost landscapes. It is as close to Cape Horn as a map of a large island gets, and its complexity makes it a striking centrepiece.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with Tierra del Fuego or a voyage date, and keep the coordinates line. There are five styles, including Blueprint and Noir. HD files are $9, with no watermark.
