Huangchuan Map Poster & Print
Huangchuan lies in the south of Henan province, within Xinyang, on the low plains of the Huai River basin. It is a wet landscape. From above, the town sits among rivers, ponds and reservoirs, with rice paddies and fish ponds filling much of the surrounding land.
The town has a dense older centre and more regular, newer districts on its edges. A small river flows through or beside the built-up area, and roads leave in several directions across the plain. Around the town, water and fields combine into a fine pattern of small rectangles and irregular pools.
