Huercal-Overa Map Poster & Print
Huercal-Overa lies in the northeast of Almería Province, close to the border with the Region of Murcia. The old town climbs the slopes below a medieval castle tower, with narrow, irregular streets typical of settlements of Moorish origin, while newer districts spread across the flatter land below in a more regular pattern. The contrast between hill and plain shapes the whole map.
The municipality covers a wide area of dry hills, ramblas and farmland in the Almanzora country, with scattered hamlets and farmhouses linked by rural roads. Dry riverbeds wind across the land and appear on the map as broad channels. The town is known throughout the region for its Holy Week processions, organised by long-standing and famously competitive brotherhoods.
A Huercal-Overa map poster brings together the tight old quarter around the castle hill, the broader layout of the newer town and the network of ramblas and country roads beyond. It is a composition with a warm, southern feel, where the dryness of the landscape is suggested by open space rather than by water.

Newer town
Below the hill, straighter streets and larger blocks extend across flatter ground, showing the town's growth beyond its historic core.
Ramblas
Dry riverbeds wind through the surrounding countryside, broad channels that carry water only after heavy rain and give the map its sweeping curves.

Huercal-Overa suits people from the town and its hamlets, those who return each year for Holy Week, and newcomers who have made a home in the Almería countryside. The mix of old and new streets makes an engaging, balanced print.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a brotherhood, a family name or a date. Sand and Paper echo the dry, warm landscape; Classic black & white, Noir and Blueprint are sharper choices.
