Te mapa
Ila Orangun is one of the historic towns of Yorubaland and the seat of the Orangun of Ila, a traditional ruler whose title is among the older ones in the region. On a map the town appears as a cluster of streets and compounds in the northeast of Osun State, surrounded by farmland and patches of woodland.
The layout follows the pattern of many Yoruba towns: a central area associated with the palace and market, from which roads radiate toward neighbouring communities. Between these routes, residential quarters fill in irregularly, shaped by family compounds rather than a planned grid. The result is an organic outline with streets that curve and branch.
An Ila Orangun map poster holds a place with deep roots in a clear, modern form. Rendered in black and white, the radiating roads and dense core create a strong centre surrounded by open space, which gives the print a balanced, grounded composition.
The town's traditional heart, associated with the Orangun's palace and the market, sits where the main roads meet, forming the densest part of the map.
Routes leave the centre in several directions toward nearby towns, giving the plan a star-like structure typical of long-established Yoruba settlements.
Beyond the built-up area, the map opens into countryside, so the town stands out as a distinct shape rather than merging with neighbours.

Koteā ko Ila Orangun
Many people from Ila Orangun live far from home, and a map of the town is a way to keep its streets in view. It also makes a considered gift for a family reunion or festival season.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, so you can add a family name or a date that matters. Pick one of five styles, including Noir and Paper, and choose files or a printed poster.
