Iryango Map Poster
Iryango is in Uganda's Western Region, in the hilly south-west of the country. The land here is folded into ridges and valleys, and the map follows that shape. Roads keep to ridge lines or wind along the lower ground, so few of them are straight, and homes cluster wherever the slope allows.
This part of Uganda is known for its green, cultivated hills, where bananas and mixed smallholdings cover much of the land and cattle graze on the open slopes. On a map there is no dense grid. Instead you see a network of paths and minor roads spread over the hills, connecting farms, trading centres and neighbouring villages.

Winding lanes
