Te mapa
Ītāy al Bārūd lies in the Beheira Governorate, in the western part of the Nile Delta, not far from the Rosetta branch of the river. Seen from above, the town is a compact knot of streets surrounded by farmland, where long straight canals and field boundaries divide the land into narrow rectangular plots. The contrast between the dense centre and the open agricultural grid defines the map.
The town is a stop on the railway between Cairo and Alexandria, and the line cuts a clear diagonal through the surrounding landscape. Roads follow it and meet in the centre, where streets are tight and irregular, typical of Delta towns that grew outward over time. At the edges, the built area thins out and blends into canal banks and village roads.
An Ītāy al Bārūd map poster captures this relationship between town and field. The waterways appear as fine lines that repeat across the frame, while the railway and main roads give the composition a strong direction. It is a quiet, graphic portrait of a place that belongs to the working agricultural heart of northern Egypt, drawn with nothing but lines on paper.
The main railway linking Egypt's two largest cities passes through the town, drawing a long, steady line across the map and anchoring the layout of the centre.
Canals and drainage channels run across the surrounding land in straight and gently curving lines, dividing the fields into a fine geometric pattern around the town.
The core is a compact cluster of narrow, irregular streets, which stands out sharply against the open agricultural land and the ordered field boundaries beyond it.

For families from Beheira and those who have moved away from the Delta, this map is a way of keeping home in view. The canals, fields and railway show the landscape that shaped daily life, reduced to a calm and clear drawing.
The poster can carry your own title, a subtitle, a date and a coordinates line, and it comes in five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files for six print sizes cost $9, and printed posters ship from partners in over 30 countries.
