Te mapa
İzmir surrounds the inner end of the Gulf of İzmir, a long inlet of the Aegean Sea. From above, the city looks like a horseshoe around the water. Districts such as Konak, Alsancak and Karşıyaka face each other across the bay, and ferries link the two shores. Behind the coast, the ground rises quickly and the streets begin to climb.
The Kordon, a long waterfront promenade, runs along the eastern shore. Just inland, Kemeraltı, the old bazaar district, forms a tight web of narrow lanes around Konak Square. Above it, Kadifekale sits on Mount Pagos, where the ancient city of Smyrna once had its citadel. Further out, newer neighbourhoods fill the valleys and slopes in a looser pattern.
İzmir is Turkey's third-largest city and one of its main ports, and the ancient Agora of Smyrna is still visible in the centre. The mix of bay, promenade and hillside neighbourhoods gives the map a clear structure. An İzmir map poster shows how the gulf holds the city together.
The long gulf reaches deep into the land, with districts wrapped around its end. On the map it forms a large empty shape at the centre of the city.
The seafront promenade follows the eastern shore in a straight line from Alsancak toward Konak, separating the dense city blocks from the open water.
The old bazaar's narrow lanes sit near the shore, while Kadifekale rises on the hill above. The streets between them climb in irregular, tight curves.

Koteā ko İzmir
İzmir is a place people associate with evenings on the Kordon, ferry rides across the bay and family homes on the hills. The gulf makes the map instantly recognisable, even in simple black and white.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a district name or wedding date, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Available as a digital file or printed poster.
