Te mapa
João Alfredo is a municipality in the Agreste of Pernambuco, the transitional zone between the humid coastal strip and the dry sertão further west. The town occupies uneven ground, and from above its streets bend and branch to follow the terrain rather than forming a rigid grid. Around the centre, small farms, tracks and patches of vegetation cover the surrounding hills.
Like many Agreste towns, João Alfredo serves as a local centre for surrounding farming communities, with its commerce, church and main streets gathered in a compact core. The rest of the municipality is largely rural, with scattered homesteads and small reservoirs that stand out as dark shapes on a monochrome map. The balance of dense centre and open country gives the print a clear structure.
A João Alfredo map poster is aimed at people who know the town from the inside: those born there, those who left for Recife or São Paulo, and families who still return for holidays. We render it without heavy labels, so the curve of the streets and the texture of the land speak for themselves. It is a quiet, personal image of home.
Streets curve and fork to follow the natural slopes, giving the centre an organic, branching shape that looks almost hand-drawn in black and white.
Commercial streets and civic buildings sit close together at the heart of town, a dense focal point that anchors the whole composition.
Ponds and small reservoirs, common across the Agreste, appear as distinct shapes in the countryside among the tracks and field edges.

Koteā ko João Alfredo
Many people from the Agreste live far from where they grew up, and a map of João Alfredo is a simple way to keep that origin visible at home. It also makes an attentive gift for parents or grandparents, particularly with the family street named in the subtitle.
