Te mapa
Jogonalan is a district of Klaten Regency in Central Java, on the fertile plain that runs between Yogyakarta and Surakarta. From above, it isn't one compact town. It is a spread of kampung clusters, each ringed by trees and separated by rice fields. The small roads between them form an irregular net that is pleasant to trace on paper.
The volcanic soil here comes from Mount Merapi, whose slopes lie to the north. Irrigation channels and small rivers run roughly north to south, carrying water down from the mountain. The main road between Yogyakarta and Solo passes close by, and it cuts a firm straight line through an otherwise organic pattern.
The area sits near the Prambanan temple region, one of the best-known heritage landscapes in Java. A Jogonalan map poster captures the everyday side of that landscape: the scattered villages, the road linking two royal cities and the steady rhythm of fields in between.
Settlements appear as separate islands of lanes and houses scattered across the plain, each linked to the next by narrow roads through the paddy fields.
The main road between the two old court cities crosses the area, drawing a clear, busy line that anchors the looser village pattern around it.
Streams and irrigation channels flow down from the volcano to the north, running in roughly parallel lines that give the map a quiet sense of direction.

Koteā ko Jogonalan
For anyone with roots in Klaten or memories of the road between Yogyakarta and Solo, this map is a reminder of a very particular landscape, with more villages and fields in it than city blocks.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, and there are five styles to choose from. Sand and Paper suit the warm, agricultural feel, while Classic black & white keeps the road network crisp and graphic.
