Te mapa
Kajiki lies on the northern shore of Kagoshima Bay in southern Kyushu. Since 2010 it has been part of the city of Aira, formed when Kajiki merged with neighbouring towns, but it keeps its own identity as a place. On a map the town occupies a narrow strip of flat ground between the bay and the hills rising behind it.
Streets run parallel to the shore. The main road and the railway trace the coast, and smaller streets fill the land behind. Rivers come down from the hills to the bay and cut across the grid. Across the water lies Sakurajima, the active volcano that dominates views around Kagoshima Bay.
A Kajiki map poster places the town between two natural edges: the smooth curve of the bay and the folded ground of the hills. The contrast between flat, orderly streets and open water gives the composition clarity, and a wider frame can bring more of the shoreline into view.
The northern shore of Kagoshima Bay forms the southern edge of the town, a clean coastline that turns the lower part of the poster into open water.
Road and rail run along the narrow flat strip beside the bay. Their parallel lines give the map a strong horizontal structure.
The ground rises quickly inland, and streets thin out as the slopes begin, leaving the upper part of the frame quiet and lightly drawn.

Koteā ko Kajiki
Kajiki is a meaningful place for people raised on Kagoshima Bay and for those who have lived or worked in Aira. A map of home that includes the water and the line of the shore is easy to recognise at a glance.
You can title the poster Kajiki or Aira, add a subtitle or a date, and edit the coordinates line. Choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint gives the bay an especially clean look.
