Te mapa
Kakunyu lies in Tanzania's Kagera Region, in the far northwest of the country, close to the border with Uganda and inland from the western shore of Lake Victoria. On the map it is a loose, open settlement rather than a compact town, with roads and footpaths linking homesteads and farms across gently rolling land.
Kagera is one of Tanzania's greener regions, known for its agriculture, with bananas and coffee widely grown. The settlement pattern reflects that: houses sit among fields and gardens, and the road network is sparse and organic rather than laid out in a grid. Little of the landscape is densely built.
A Kakunyu map poster is minimal and personal. It shows the roads and tracks that connect the area, with plenty of open paper between them. For people with ties to this corner of Kagera, it is a rare chance to have their home drawn with the same care as a capital city.
A few main roads cross the area and link it to neighbouring settlements, forming the strongest lines on a poster that is otherwise open and quiet.
Buildings are spread across the landscape rather than clustered, producing a light, dotted texture typical of rural settlements in Kagera.
Smaller paths wind between farms and gardens, fine lines that show how people actually move through the countryside day to day.

Koteā ko Kakunyu
Places like Kakunyu rarely appear on printed maps, which is exactly why a poster can mean so much to someone from there. It is a quiet way to keep the home landscape visible, wherever you now live.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free 900 px watermarked preview lets you check the view before buying.
