Te mapa
Kampong Dungun is a small town on the western side of Peninsular Malaysia, in the low, flat country near the Strait of Malacca. As with many settlements in this region, the land around it has been shaped by agriculture. On the map, long straight roads and drainage channels divide the ground into large, regular parcels.
The town itself is compact, with a small cluster of streets and houses where local roads meet. Beyond it, the lines become sparse and geometric, following plantation boundaries and waterways rather than the old routes of a traditional village. Rivers wind across this grid in looser curves as they head toward the coast.
A Kampong Dungun map poster presents this quiet place in its true setting, with a modest centre and wide, patterned land all around. The mix of straight lines and meandering water gives the print a subtle visual rhythm. It is a small, personal map, and one that rarely appears anywhere else.
The settlement is a small, tight group of streets where local roads meet, the densest point in an otherwise open frame.
Straight roads and field boundaries across the coastal plain divide the land into large rectangles, forming a regular backdrop to the town.
Rivers and streams run toward the coast in loose curves, crossing the straight lines of the plantations and softening the composition.
