Te mapa
Kamunting lies just north of Taiping in Perak, and the two towns merge into one another on the map. The streets follow a mix of older roads and newer housing estates, with industrial areas along the main routes. Scattered across the landscape are ponds and lakes left from tin mining, which appear as irregular shapes between the streets.
The area grew in the nineteenth century during the tin boom that shaped much of Perak. To the east rise the forested hills of the Bintang range, including Bukit Larut, which bring the highest rainfall in Peninsular Malaysia to this part of the country.
A Kamunting map poster captures a town shaped by resources and water. The former mining pools create striking gaps in the pattern, the hills close off one side, and the road network links it tightly with Taiping. It is a meaningful choice for families with roots here.

Kamunting and Taiping grow into each other along the main roads. The map shows the two towns as one continuous built-up area.
The forested Bintang range rises beyond the town. Its slopes stop the streets abruptly and give the composition a strong natural edge.

Koteā ko Kamunting
Kamunting is often home rather than a destination, which is exactly why a map of it means something. It works well as a gift for parents or for anyone who left Perak for work.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD pack costs $9 and includes a 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF for each size.
