Te mapa
Kamyshlov is a town in Sverdlovsk Oblast, on the eastern side of the Urals, where the Pyshma river flows across the plain toward Siberia. It grew from a fortified settlement founded in the seventeenth century and later became a district town on the route east.
The railway between Yekaterinburg and Tyumen passes through, and the map shows the town arranged along the river with a regular grid of streets in the older centre. The Pyshma bends past the town, and meadows and woodland lie along its banks.
A Kamyshlov map poster combines the curve of the river, the historic grid and the straight line of the railway into one composition. It is a balanced print that reflects the character of an old provincial town in the Middle Urals.
The river curves past Kamyshlov, shaping the town's edge and adding a soft, natural line to the map alongside meadows and woods.
The older part of town is laid out in regular blocks, a legacy of nineteenth-century planning that gives the centre a clear structure.
The Yekaterinburg–Tyumen line runs through the town, its long, straight course cutting cleanly across the map.
