Te mapa
Kangdong-ŭp is the administrative centre of Kangdong County, which belongs to the capital city of Pyongyang but lies well outside its urban core, to the northeast. The town sits in a valley among low, wooded hills, with farmland spread across the flatter ground. From above it appears as a modest arrangement of streets and building blocks, organised around the roads that link it with the capital.
Kangdong County is widely known as the site of the Mausoleum of Tangun, the legendary founder of the first Korean kingdom, which stands in the hills of the county. The town itself is a provincial settlement, and publicly available map data for it is relatively sparse, so a poster shows the essential structure: main roads, watercourses and the edges of the built-up area.
A Kangdong-ŭp map poster is a minimal, almost abstract composition. Main roads draw long lines across the valley, streams trace softer curves, and the town gathers where they meet. For people interested in the geography of the Korean Peninsula, it offers a rare, uncluttered view of a place few outsiders ever see on a map.
The town occupies lower ground between hills, so its roads follow the valley and the built-up area stays compact. The result is a clear shape surrounded by open land.
Main roads run from the town toward central Pyongyang and neighbouring counties. They form the strongest lines on the poster and tie this rural seat to the capital.
With limited street data, the map relies on a few essential lines. This gives it a spare, graphic quality that is closer to a drawing than to a dense city plan.

This poster tends to appeal to people who collect maps of unusual places, study Korean history or have a personal connection to the region. Its restrained lines make it a thoughtful object on the wall rather than a statement.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are fully editable, and five styles are available, from Classic black & white to Blueprint. Look at the free 900 px preview first, then download print-ready 300 DPI files in six sizes for $9.
