Te mapa
Kapan is the largest town in southern Armenia and the administrative centre of the Syunik province. Its shape is determined by the mountains. The city stretches in a long, narrow band along the Voghji River, filling the valley floor and climbing the lower slopes, while steep ridges rise on both sides.
Mining has shaped Kapan for generations, especially copper extraction in the surrounding hills. Above the town rises Mount Khustup, a prominent peak that dominates the skyline. A Kapan map poster captures the linear, valley-bound town, with the river at its centre and contour-tight mountains pressing in around it.
Streets follow the river rather than forming a grid, with bridges crossing between the two banks and roads winding up to residential districts on the hillsides. At a wider scale the map becomes a study of relief, a thin ribbon of city threaded through dark, forested mountains.
The river runs the length of the town and sets its direction. Streets and bridges gather along its banks, forming the poster's central line.
The city is long and narrow, squeezed between mountains. On paper it reads as a ribbon of streets rather than a round centre.
Steep ridges rise on both sides, with Mount Khustup above the town. A wider crop shows the mountains holding the city in place.

Koteā ko Kapan
For people from Syunik, Kapan is the town at the heart of the south, and its map is a strong reminder of river, mountains and home. It is a meaningful gift for relatives in Yerevan or the diaspora.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised in Armenian or English. Choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir suits the dark mountain setting.
