Te mapa
Kebonarun lies in Klaten Regency, Central Java, on the fertile plain between the royal cities of Yogyakarta and Surakarta. The volcano Merapi rises to the north, and over centuries its long slopes have shaped this landscape. They left deep soils that support some of the most intensively farmed land on the island.
From above, the area is a fine mosaic rather than a single town. Clusters of houses shaded by trees sit among rectangular rice paddies, linked by narrow lanes and irrigation channels. Larger roads cut across the pattern in straighter lines, and the map shows how closely settlement and farmland are woven together in this part of Java.
A Kebonarun map poster turns that mosaic into something almost textile. The small, dense kampung clusters become darker knots, the fields between them become open ground, and the roads connect everything into a network. It is a portrait of rural Java at its most characteristic, drawn in black ink on white.
Houses gather in tight, tree-shaded kampung clusters, each appearing on the map as a small, dense knot of lanes surrounded by open land.
Between the settlements, irrigated paddies divide the plain into small rectangles, a pattern shaped by water channels running down from the higher ground to the north.
The whole area lies on the gentle volcanic plain south of Mount Merapi, which gives the land its even slope and the region its remarkable fertility.
