Khust Map Poster & Print

Khust lies in Zakarpattia, in the far west of Ukraine, where the foothills of the Carpathians meet the valley of the Tisza. From above the town fills a basin between hills, with the Khustets stream running through it toward the Tisza and roads following the valleys out into the mountains.

Above the town stand the ruins of Khust Castle on a steep, isolated hill, which appears on the map as a green knoll ringed by streets. In 1939 Khust was briefly the capital of Carpatho-Ukraine, a short-lived state declared just before the region was occupied. Nearby is the Valley of Narcissi, a protected meadow famous for its spring flowers.

A Khust map poster shows the balance between river valley and upland. The centre forms a dense cluster below the castle hill, while streets reach up the slopes and the Tisza marks a strong line across the frame.

Castle hill

The ruined castle crowns a steep hill above the town, and the map shows streets wrapping around its base with the summit left open.

02

Tisza valley

The broad valley of the Tisza passes nearby, with its channels and floodplain forming a soft, flowing line along one edge of the poster.

03

Foothill streets

Residential streets climb into the surrounding Carpathian foothills, bending with the slope and gradually giving way to orchards and woodland.
