Te mapa
Kikube is a town in Uganda's Western Region, in the area east of Lake Albert that became part of Kikuube District when it was separated from Hoima District. The surrounding land is a mix of farmland, bush and forest on rolling ground, sloping westward toward the Albertine Rift and the lake.
On a map, the town forms a small cluster of streets around its trading centre, with roads leading out in several directions to neighbouring villages and towns. Beyond the centre, the pattern becomes sparse: individual farm plots, footpaths and seasonal streams cross a landscape that is largely rural and green.
A Kikube map poster shows a working rural town at its natural scale. The central cluster of streets reads as a small focal point, and the roads heading outward give the composition direction and space. It is a simple, honest portrait of a place in western Uganda that rarely appears on printed maps at all.
The town's streets gather around a small commercial centre, the densest part of the map and the point where the main roads meet.
Roads lead outward from the centre toward villages and larger towns in the region, drawing long, calm lines across the rural landscape.
West of town, the land slopes toward the Albertine Rift and Lake Albert, part of the great valley system of East Africa.
