Te mapa
Kinoni lies in the rolling highlands of western Uganda, southwest of Mbarara. From above, the town gathers along its main road, with shops and homes pressed close to the route. Smaller streets then scatter up the surrounding slopes. The terrain is never quite flat, so tracks curve around hills and dip into valley bottoms.
This is part of the historic Ankole region, long associated with cattle keeping and, more recently, with banana and mixed farming. Towns like Kinoni act as local market centres, where farm roads meet the main route to larger towns. The landscape around it is a patchwork of plots, pasture and scattered homesteads.
A Kinoni map poster keeps the focus on that relationship between road and hillside: a firm central line and a web of looser paths spreading outward. It is an understated print, suited to the warm Sand style or to Classic black and white for a sharper look.
The town is organised along a principal road, where most shops and buildings cluster. On the map, it forms the clear backbone of the settlement.
Minor roads and paths climb and curve around the surrounding slopes. They give the outer parts of the poster an organic, branching texture.
Beyond town, small plots and scattered homesteads cover the hills. At print scale they read as a fine, irregular pattern around the centre.

Koteā ko Kinoni
For anyone who grew up in Kinoni or has family there, a map of the town is a personal thing to have on the wall, especially far from home. It marks a specific place instead of a general idea of Uganda.
Put a family name or a date in the title, add the coordinates line and choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
