Te mapa
Kuala Kangsar stands where the Kangsar River joins the Perak River, and the wide, curving river dominates the map. The town sits on its bank. The older centre is compact, while palace grounds, mosque grounds and school campuses occupy large, open parcels along the water. Wooded hills and plantations surround the town and frame it on the page.
This is the royal town of Perak, home of the Sultan's official palace, the Istana Iskandariah. Nearby is the Ubudiah Mosque, known for its golden onion domes. Across town is the Malay College Kuala Kangsar, founded in 1905, whose large grounds leave a wide open shape on the map. These grand parcels give Kuala Kangsar a spacious layout that is unusual for a town of its size.
Kuala Kangsar also has a place in the history of agriculture in Malaya. Some of the first rubber trees in the country were planted here in the late nineteenth century, and one is still preserved in town. A Kuala Kangsar map poster brings together the river, the royal grounds and the small, orderly streets of the centre.
The broad river curves along the town and is its strongest feature. On the poster it forms a smooth, heavy shape against the finer streets.
The palace and the Ubudiah Mosque stand in large grounds near the river. They appear as calm open spaces among the lines of the streets.
The Malay College's campus takes up a wide area with playing fields and long buildings. It adds a clear, structured parcel to the map.

Koteā ko Kuala Kangsar
A map of Kuala Kangsar suits former students of its schools, families from Perak and anyone drawn to its royal history. The combination of river and wide grounds makes an elegant composition.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with a graduation year or family name. The poster is available in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
