Te mapa
Kyenjojo is the main town of Kyenjojo District in Uganda's Western Region. On a map the most defining feature is the highway between Kampala and Fort Portal, which passes directly through the town. Most of the built-up area gathers along this road, with side streets and paths running off it into the surrounding hills.
The landscape of the district is rolling and green, with farmland on the slopes and tea grown in parts of the wider area. This relief shapes the town layout: roads follow ridges and contours rather than a strict grid, and the edges of the settlement blend gradually into plots, gardens and rural tracks.
A Kyenjojo map poster shows a place organised by a single road and softened by terrain. The composition is simple and linear, with a clear axis and a looser web of lanes on either side. In black and white it becomes a calm portrait of a highland market town in western Uganda.
The Kampala–Fort Portal road runs through the town and forms the spine of the map, with most shops and buildings arranged along its length.
Side roads curve with the rolling terrain, creating gentle, irregular lines that contrast with the straight course of the highway.
The built-up area thins into farm plots and footpaths, so the edge of the poster reads as open countryside rather than dense development.

Koteā ko Kyenjojo
For people from Kyenjojo living in Kampala or abroad, a map of the town is a quiet reminder of home. Its clean, linear shape also makes it an unusual and attractive piece for anyone who travelled or worked in western Uganda.
